It has been an amazing experience, just to be in this time, in the now.
While we have been advised to remain calm and to not celebrate openly, I cannot deny how my heart has been leaping for joy since the release of results.
In 2006, returning from studies after 4 years abroad, I made it my personal challenge to start taking action in whatever way I could. I never actually wrote how I intended to get around to that but I think reading more, surrounding myself with empowering people and allowing myself to be empowered have definitely paid off.
I am so glad, and proud, that my vote was counted. My only wish is to see us moving forward.
